This is an authentic and original illustration titled, “Dock on the Bay, part six. You are viewing the continuum of the artist (myself) current series of a favored family vacation destination at Bahia Marina in Ocean City, Maryland. I highly recommend a thorough review of the previous five in this series. A virtual tour will provide a complete artistic journey and enhanced cognitive therapeutic experience. With many years of professional experience in and out of communities all throughout the Washington Metropolitan area, I am a practitioner certified and specialized in dementia care, psychotherapy, as a self taught artist and writer. It's not a secret to those who have worked directly with me, and who have knowledge of my preferred “non invasive cognitive assessments and approach of treatment through various methods of therapy..” What you are viewing in my collection is and this current series is exactly what I've been practicing for years. You will learn my one on one private therapy is designed to enhance the quality of life for my existing and new private patients, clients and residents. In order for you to fully engage with me as the artist and writer of my authentic collection at “BehindtheSCbyJessica,” and to better familiarize yourself with my work, how I personally identify, analyze and translate my subjects, it's important for you to provide yourself adequate uninterrupted time to comprehend the visually graphic scenery and my narrative. As in the previous set in this series, it's obvious each and every piece has its distinct unique features and overall design. When reviewing any of my work, oftentimes creating series, it's important for you to understand how I analyze, and interpret my subjects. Highly recommended by existing patients, private clients, residents, readers and buyers to be in Harvard Review, known by many professional past colleagues and affiliates, my entire life and career has been intentionally without traditional social media. It's well known that I have spent over fourteen years dedicated to my work and completely invested in a very successful career in mental health without social media.. As a longtime practitioner, certified in various therapy, specialized in dementia care, psychotherapy as a self taught artist and writer for many years, it's known by many all throughout the Washington Metropolitan area, my work on the interior and exterior of communities has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. My site is personally designed to maintain private uninterrupted one on one therapy specifically tailored and designed to enhance the quality of life of those and their individualized needs. What I'm known best for many years, is my practice of “non invasive,” treatment and cognitive assessments,” for those with and without dementia. For many years in and out of communities through professional experience, I prefer to infuse art therapy in my work as an approach to engage and establish trust with my private patients, clients and residents. This subject is of the exact same location situated bayside at a popular Marina in Ocean City, Maryland, the original photographs, setting and perspective of each illustrates the scene in different ways. When looking closely at the textured, detailed scenic painting, you will discover the dominant feature first and foremost, the wooden table overlooking the bay view noticeably seen in the forefront. Behind this feature is the marina water, one docked black and white boat on the left, projected fishing poles, several wooden bay posts as well as two smaller wooden docks on the right. With intent to create a dramatic scene different than how it was originally seen in “real time,” I recreated the illustration to be a nighttime representation of location. To convey and narrate the scene with intentional modifications, I converted the lighting effect and colors used to enhance the time of day depicted, portraying nighttime underneath the moon, with a shimmer and sheen on the surface of the rippling tide painted with silver and gold. If your visiting my site for the first time, and provide yourself time to review my art that includes water scenes, it's known by my repeat private patients, clients, residents, readers, and buyers that I have a signature trait known by many as I manipulate the paint with brush strokes ultimately creating a textured technique that translates on the illustration. The background skyline appears to be the moon hovering over the scene
translating into the narrative. Maintaining close engagement with repeat visitors while simultaneously introducing my authentic artistic style to new site art enthusiasts, reiterating I refer this technique and signature trait pattern as hotsell “dramatizing the water.” For a better more enhanced cognitively and visually stimulating experience, I prefer to remind those of this style when writing descriptions accompanied by my art. Phase one was the initial graphite sketch. On quality mixed media and graphite, I sketched the dominant feature, the wooden table in the forefront overdoing the bayside view first and foremost. I then proceeded to sketch the other elements within such as the docked boat, the water, the textured wooden posts, the two smaller docks in the background, as well as the skyline. With intent to recreate a scenic perspective resembling the original photograph with slight variations, converting the time of day from day to night, as well as focused depth perception. I used a ruler for linear accuracy, also helping with refinement of the obvious larger features noticeably seen within. This also helped visually guide my attention and focus on separating the varied details within. Phase two was the transition to color. With brown, gold, blue, white, silver, graphite, black, gray, and beige varied colored pencils, I blended and shaded in over phase one. As the artist and writer “Behind the Scenes,” this phase always helps focus on each feature within and around the entire illustration. Phase three was the application of acrylic paint. With the same colors used as in phase two and varied paint brushes, I painted over phase two. As in the previous paintings in this series and other water paintings in my collection, there is a pleasant animated effect noticeably seen on the surface of the water, as well as a shimmer and sheen with an intentional “aged wood effect,”
technique I created on the wooden posts throughout as well as the forefront wooden table overlooking the bay. Reminding my readers, private patients, clients, residents and buyers, I recreated the original photograph portraying and designed a pleasant soothing sundown narrative. Upon completion I sprayed it with clear acrylic sealant to prevent any damage or “bleeding of the colors.” The authentic and original illustration is available for purchase in print. This would make for an ideal housewarming gift or simply be a nice addition to an existing collection. Please enjoy. Jessica Ahmadi
