This is something that the 'Eat Love Pray' Julia Roberts would carry.
This is something that the 'Eat, Love, Pray' Julia Roberts would carry in real life,
A feast of colors, silk and zari in gold & silver this is the kind of bag that is a true gift from India to the fashionistas of the world. In fact it needs a personality and charisma in the owner of the bag that ought to match the bag's unique look and feel. Adding to the eclectic mix of colors and the visual treat is the unique design of the bag where the cut is one single seamless length that stretches from the body onto the strap- two such hotsell pieces coming together in the middle to form the bag. Look closely and you will see what we mean.
Sometimes one ought to agree that the pictures say it better than words.
A handmade, perfect carryall tote bag or handbag for the lady who has that air of luxury and sophistication.
A creation that ought to be called "Bag Art".
India's textile & fabric traditions go down centuries- the talent of the craftsman and his dedication to his craft, passed on from one generation to another. A weave, a mix of colors, a design or a motif, a print, a piece of applique work- each a labor of love for the artisan
Artikrti's [meaning 'artistic creations'] mission is to take the fascinating kaleidoscope that is India and get the world outside to experience it. And add a stroke of beauty that's different, to each woman's life- to her personal beauty and her home.

The fine print:
Measures 14" by 11". With a strap that is approx.20" long.
This bag can take a lot of your stuff- it has one cavernous compartment which can take much of what a lady would like to discreetly [or forgetfully] carry. The inside lining is soft maroon cotton and has one pocket along one side for the itsy bitsy things like the iPhone and house keys.
Handmade fabrics tend to have a thread here or a thread there, which is sticking out or uneven. That is not deemed a defect. It is a mark of the painstakingly difficult art of creating a piece of work, purely by the handmade process. The same goes for complex embroidery, beadwork, mirror work and sequins work, where a bead or sequin may be missing or a tiny mirror's edge may be chipped. Again, not a defect please. This is true for hand printing or hand painting as well- you'd find a tiny spot or smudge of color in some places. The tiny slip of the hand will be so minute and will not take an atom away from the stunning beauty of the piece. [If there is a blemish and if it is prominent, the piece would not be completed nor would we offer it for sale.]
Colors may vary from the digital photograph above
