Jasper Pendant, American Mined, hotsell Artisan Cut & Polished Caldera Paint Jasper Designer Cabochon, Semiprecious Gemstone Jewelry, Gary Green
Organic patterns of Green Cream and Tan in a wonderful Jasper being mined near.
Organic patterns of Green, Cream and Tan in a wonderful Jasper being mined near the McDermitt area on the borders of Nevada and Oregon. I did the lapidary work on this piece, purchasing a slab of this stone, and cutting/shaping this cabochon myself. It has a beautiful display of color and depth, and polished to a high glossy shine both front and back.
You may have noticed that I refer to this particular stone as a "designer cabochon." The definition of a designer cab is that a specific portion of the stone slab was selected to highlight the natural design within the stone, and a shape for the cabochon was also chosen to further make the piece unique. The vast majority of stone jewelry you see on the market is cut in factory conditions, with no awareness of the natural mineral compositions in the stone, simply to get as many pieces out of a section of rock so as to maximize profit. It's easy to see when a lapidary artist has taken pains to create a designer stone, and this is one reason those finished pieces of jewelry are more expensive.
Also take note on the intricate artisan work on this piece's back. It is as finished as the front, and indeed I hope it will become a talisman for you; a special item with an intrinsic energy hotsell. This is a hallmark of my work, and another reason why I ask more than some other craftspeople. It often takes me longer to work the back than the initial pattern on the face of the pendant.
