Wonderful vintage cast metal Easter lamb cake mold with beautiful patina. Perfect vintage Easter decor. This piece is not cast iron, but a lighter metal, though it still has weight. We are guessing cast aluminum. The two-piece lamb cake or chocolate mold was made for commercial baking, probably in the 1960s. Nicely detailed inside, with handles on both pieces. The mold fits together, but is missing any clamp brackets to hold the two pieces in place. I tied them together with twist ties, but you could use ribbon to make it look prettier. Nice and large, the mold measures 8.5 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 4 inches deep from front to back. Some oxidation and discoloration to the metal, which gives it a wonderful aged patina. One small chip to metal rim of the back piece above left ear. We just love how this lamb looks in a basket with some other spring decor.
