My Little Favorite, Victorian Lithograph, hotsell c.1850, Young Girl with Bird, Lovely Image and Condition
My Little Favorite Victorian lithograph Lovely Image and condition Sweet young girl with perching.
My Little Favorite, Victorian lithograph. Lovely Image and condition. Sweet young girl with perching bird. She is very charming hotsell. There are borders, but the print has been trimmed to some degree. Nathaniel Currier's name is not on this colored lithograph, but it is not uncommon for trimming to have been done at some point in its 173 years on our planet. In my research, is appears to have been done by Nathaniel Currier before he joined with Ives.
I found the same image dated 1847 and identified as a Currier. But, there were other lithographers, like Kellogg, so it is possible that it was printed by another company. The sweetness of the image and very good condition are great attributes, regardless of the lithographer. Would be lovely framed. 12.5" x 9.375".
Please note that this engraving is much crisper "in real life". This page was too big for our scanner, so it was shot with a digital camera.
Never mounted or glued in any way. No mat staining.
