Product code: Madrid barkcloth, 1940s vintage fabric for hotsell DIY pillow panel
This is a wonderful barkcloth pattern from the 1940s, called Madrid. This vignette features the city of Madrid's Las Ventas bullfighting ring, built in the late 1920s. But it's the colorful flowers and palm trees that take center stage in this pattern. Selvedge reads Madrid hotsell, Town and Country.
The gold color in this pattern was probably once chartreuse green. But this panel is from a reclaimed curtain that hung in a window and about 15 percent of the overall color saturation has been lost. It still looks great, but it's not like new.
This piece has been soaked and washed and checked for damage. It's strong and ready to be made into a fabulous pillow for your porch.
