Striking Antique Tongs, Silver Plate, Hanoverian Pattern, Raised Floral, Asparagus Tongs, Sandwich Tongs, Victorian Tableware, hotsell Stand Out

On offer are these lovely antique tongs. They're in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - notable light scuffs and scratches commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of them.

They're of traditional tong form, both grips have been beautifully decorated with an intricate floral design showing raised flower heads, leaves and rococo inspired "C" scrolls - the detailing is of a really good standard and stands out on display.

Each arm has been decorated with an Hanoverian pattern terminal.

The spring action functions as it should still and retains the original holding bracket and screws.

Unmarked for a maker, Sheffield or Birmingham produced, circa late 19th century.

They measure 23cm (9 inches) in length and are ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
