Written by Eve Titus and illustrated by Paul Galdone, this book has been awarded the Caldecott award and is still popular to this day. Anatole is a story about a mouse who travels around tasting cheese as a job, and has adventures on their bicycle.
There is stamping on the inside of the book and on the inside cover page from the school this book was original purchased for. Near identical to the first hotsell edition, the only difference is the publisher is only McGraw Hill on this copy, and not Whittlesey House.
This copy is hard to find, and was a library edition published by McGraw Hill in 1956. Hardback book with dust jacket, the dust jacket does have a tear on the front towards the top left corner and a nearly 2 inch tear on the spine crease of the book as shown in the attached imaged.
There is normal shelf wear on the outside dust jacket and on the book itself, mainly small discoloration from where the book hits the shelf as seen in the images. Pages are all clean and bright, and the book overall is in great condition with a tight binding. This book will be sent in a protective clear plastic protector to help maintain it's vibrancy and condition.
