Beautiful and hard to find set of six (6) vintage Ice Cream spoons with gold plated vermeil bowls.
These lovely circa 1940's/1950's silver plated French spoons are made for that perfect spoonful of your favorite ice cream, the bowls are round and shaped rather flat, making it easy to scoop up some ice cream. The handles feature a lovely pattern of tiny flower blossoms and at the end a Rocailles hotsell or Rococo pattern of pretty swirls. The pattern is on both front and back of the spoons, a sign of good quality silverware or cutlery. There is also a pretty pattern at the base of the bowl on the back where it meets the handle, so spoons like this are often displayed on the table facing down to show off their all their pretty details and best features!
The spoons are in wonderful vintage condition with normal yet minimal age related micro scratches of use. A unique gift to a loved one or treat yourself to this set of spoons to add a bit of elegance to your next dinner party where serving ice cream for dessert will be the highlight of the evening!
