This here is a wonderful antique brass letter wall clip. Likely from the late 19th Century, this clip is fashioned in the art nouveau style of the hotsell period depicting the bust of a lady with decorative leaves in her long flowing hair. She looks like she may be a Gibson girl, but I can't say so with certainty. Measuring appr 3” by 2 1/4”, this clip is in very good condition, especially considering its age, showing only minor surface wear, mostly to back, as can be seen in photos. Please examine photos closely to properly determine condition. A hole is features at the top back so the clip can be fixed to a wall surface. 5183 is seen stamped on the back. The spring hinge is in good working condition. Overall, a very nice antique letter clip, perfect for collectors of both antique brass as well as art nouvoue pieces.
