This is the rare and almost impossible to find Wade Teapot with the comical face and tartan yellow cap.
Especially one in such fine & unused condition
there is a little normal crazing which is ok for this king of Material

It is hand-painted by Wade England so there are random irregular brush strokes which is part of its great charm and uniqueness.

It's hard to imagine that the funny little teapot has any connection to the poet Robert Burns - but it does! The cap (which forms the lid) is known as a Tam O' Shanter after the famous 18th century Scottish poem.
people who live on the Borders of Scotland where people take their Tam O' Shanters very seriously. And rightly so!
