Dimensions for each size are located in the ‘Size' drop down option. They represent the image as you see it in the photo from the extreme boundaries... top-most to bottom-most and left-most to right-most points or vice versa. Sizes with 1 dimension represent the height (or diameter if applicable).

The size you need is relative to the project you are working on. ALWAYS, measure for your project at hand.

▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ MATERIALS- Steel OR Aluminum ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬ ▬

We use 14 gauge Hot Rolled or Cold Rolled Steel and Marine Grade 0.090" Aluminum that are all Made in the USA. For comparison purposes, the steel is just a hair thicker than a quarter and the aluminum is slightly thicker than a nickel. The finish type you choose will dictate which metal type is used.

The Raw Mill Scale Metal, Industrial Finish, Mill Scale/Copper Finish, Opaque Finishes, and the Powder Coated selections for steel will be Hot Rolled Steel. All other finishes use the Cold Rolled Steel. You can also select Raw Aluminum, or choose to have it Powder Coated.

--STEEL--
Steel is strong, hard, and MAGNETIC!! It is heavier than Aluminum and less likely to warp. However, steel is also corrosive and will rust easily if left unfinished even for a short period of time. If you order the Raw Hot Rolled Mill Scale option, I strongly suggest finishing it in some manner not long after you receive it. OR if you want a rust look, you can:
(1) Order the Raw Mill Scale Option, grind the mill scale off, and let it rust naturally (or use a salt water dilute or vinegar water dilute to speed up the process), then apply a clear coat.
(2) Order the Cold Rolled Option and simply ask us to leave off the clear coat . It will begin to rust fairly quickly without the clear coat, but you can speed up the process with the same salt/vinegar dilutes above then apply a clear coat when the rust is to your liking.

--ALUMINUM--
Aluminum is not as strong as steel. It is very porous and less dense, thus much lighter than steel, but harder to clean. It will dent, ding, and scratch more easily as compared to steel. Aluminum is NOT magnetic. Aluminum will not rust, but it will oxidize.

1) Only the POWDER COATED finish selections are recommended for outdoor use. They are UV resistant. All other finishes should remain indoors unless *you* seal them with a high quality, UV resistant clear coat lacquer or spray to protect from fading and abrasions.

2) With the exception of Powder Coating, due to the nature of steel and the finishes used, every item will have it's own unique look. The steel will take some finishes bolder or lighter on the same piece. This is what gives your item it's uniqueness. No two finishes will be the same.

3) Not all Finishes can be done on every piece. For Example, outdoor items can only be Powder Coated or ordered Raw to be Finished By You, so only the Powder Coat finish options AND Raw Mill Scale are selectable options for outdoor items.

4) The quickest delivered orders are those of just Raw Mill Scale Metal and Raw Aluminum. You can easily finish them on your own with spray paint. You will need a primer, your color of choice, and optionally, though we highly recommend, a clear coat sealer. This can be done directly out of the box with no other preparation before the primer.

5) YOU can make any of these items outdoor-friendly with several coats of a high quality, UV resistant clear coat lacquer or spray over your primer & color.

6) Photos of finishes shown in the listing are taken outside unless specified otherwise.
