It has been newly rewired with a 3-way socket and a cord with a polarized plug. It still has the original label on the socket, but the interior parts are new. There is a label on the bottom from TJ Maxx, but I don't know hotsell if it's the label for the lamp or just the base. I would date the lamp to the 80's. The porcelain is in a ginger jar shape, but it's just one piece. The porcelain has exotic looking flowers painted all over it, almost alien-like. By itself, the porcelain is 12.5” tall and 9 1/3” wide. The porcelain is in excellent condition with very minor factory flaws from the hand painting. The base is carved out of wood and painted black, also with minor signs of use.
