hotsell Beautiful and extremely rare chocolate pot by Adderley England. I could not find one other chocolate pot by Adderley. Large size measures 7-3/4" tall without lid, about 9-1/4" tall with lid in place and easily holds 5.5 cups (44 ounces).
The backstamp dates this piece 1912-1926. Features ribbed/scalloped sides and lid with a matte exterior finish. Background color is cream-beige with what appears to be a finely sprayed on upper side color(including handle) in satin gold. Floral pattern with leaves painted over both background colors and gold gilt edges.. very unique. Very pretty.
No chips, cracks or flea-bites. The gloss interior and bottom are finely crazed. There is a small amount of rubbing to gold on handle and lid. They do not detract from the overall beauty of this item and even add a more antiqued appearance.
