There hotsell are several issues with this truck. Let's get to those first. It's missing the Red Cross logo on both sides of the truck. The front hood is missing. The back double doors are also missing. The back of the truck will need a nail up top. See pics for quality. This piece is a ca. 1918 wooden Red Cross ambulance manufactured by a very obscure toy maker called Auto-Crat. We were able to find a 1918 catalog for various similar wooden Auto-Crat toys from Shapleigh Hardware Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. While this seems like a basic wood toy, it does have a steering column that turns the wheels. This version of this toy is highly desirable and hard to find. Price is firm on this item.
