Antique Charles X or Biedermeier overlay glass casket | hotsell Renaissance-style glass chest | Early 19th century jewelry casket

Ancient and quite rare overlay glass casket (maybe from Bohemia) made of thick, triple-layered glass. The 2 upper layers of opaline glass are white and strawberry-tinted (though the white is only visible on the bottom of the casket) with gold hand-painted arabesques in a Renaissance manner, while the underlayer is clear.

The opening is circled with gilt brass and there is a keyhole, for which I unfortunately do not possess the key.

In medium condition, the lid was brocken and has been anciently repaired quite rougly. There are otherwise no chips to note.
The gold paint has faded is several places (mainly the angles) but remains quite bright on the main pannels.
