Product code: Vintage 1960s 1970s 18K HGE hotsell Brutalist Modernist Silver Toned Spike Ring Rare

we love the bold, dramatic, modernist look of this little cocktail ring with 10 tiny little stems, like a lovely domed flower, all in 60s textured and shimmery, sparkly silver tone metal, marked

"18 K T HGE " along the inside of the band.

This sits at a 6 US on our ring sizer (which is also 16 1/2 m/m, 12nO, or 52 U).

textured jewelry pieces like this are also referred to as being done in a brutalist style, and associated with 1960s 1970s time frame.

although this is unsigned, artists such as Robert Larin and Gilles (Guy) Vidal created similar jewelry pieces in this style.

We found a jewelry guide that says:

"THGE stands for: Thin Hard/Heavy Gold Electroplated

For example if the marking is "18K THGE" it means that the item is gold plated with a super thin layer of 18K gold.

Gold and Platinum are considered Hard/Heavy metals due to their molecular weight."

we also found this referral to HGE on wiki:

"18KT HGE is absolutely hotsell REAL gold and in fact, the electroplating on HGE is "heavy" therefore it is quite good quality. Just because the ring is not solid gold doesn't mean the gold isn't real. The HGE denotes very good quality."

This would be an incredible gift for that woman who seems to have everything: it's one of a kind, very visual, and remarkable!
