Antique French Andiron Head Bookend - Cast Iron Bust of Girl, Lady, Woman Bust. Shabby Chic white.

~ MEASUREMENT: 3-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" deep x 7-3/4" high/ Weight 4 lbs.

This is a wonderful and beautifully detailed antique late 1800s cast iron French andiron/firedog bust of lady. Done out of cast iron andiron lady head bust ... this bust features a detailed head of lady, with close crop curly hair. At the base are the words "L'AMOUR VAINQUEUR" (Love Wins). This head was part of andiron/fire dog set, used to rest logs on in the fireplace.

Use hotsell as a bookend, or feature separately as a paperweight, or as part of a vignette.

Beautiful salvaged iron that will be just right in your French Country, Rustic Farmhouse, Cottage, or Shabby Chic home. Perfect accent for any room.

~ CONDITION: This pieces is 100+ years old. It was blacken from years of fireplace use, and all of the detailing had become obscured. I gently cleaned it, painted it a soft white, and used my "showdow work" technique of specially blended brown pigments to bring out the detailing and give the perfect patina.
