Vintage original magazine illustration, signed, Colonial Revival, published, home decorating, 1970s suburbia, architectural rendering hotsell
this listing is for an original architectural rendering in watercolor and ink on.
this listing is for an original architectural rendering in watercolor and ink on J. Watman illustration board.
Drawn by an illustrator named Heiser, it depicts a detail of the front entrance of a 1970s Colonial Revival or Cape Cod suburban house. It must have accompanied a magazine article or book chapter on home design.
Because it retains two of its 4 plastic markers that would have aided photographing it for printing, I infer that it was actually published somewhere, though I haven't been able to find it.
It's a great, period illustration, whose slate flooring, recessed-panel door, hotsell and bay window scream mid to late 1970s American suburbia.
With a board size of 7” by 10” and image size of about 6” by 9”, it's in very good condition with almost no marks or damage to the surface.
