French school drunk art impressionism mix media painting by Quebec artist Ronelle Gingras. This unusual humorous artwork titled "La Fete" painted in the Vincent Van Gogh manner depicts 4 men drinking alcohol. Greenish palette may well be an allusion to the notorious alcoholic drink. Painted in December 1986 & hotsell titled on the back "La Fete" (The Party) with descriptions in French. The written description saying about "the only way for lumberjacks to keep from being bored in the old days was to drink alcohol, celebrate their courage and make the country grows". Painting signed ReneL in lower right corner. Wooden frame has dark green velvet background (could be sold without the frame).
