Desert hotsell Storm/Shield Commemorative Bullet Ballpoint Pen

This Desert Storm/Shield Commemorative Bullet Ballpoint Pen honors those who served a grateful nation. The top of this amazing pen features a grain of sand in a white oval which was collected from Camp Airfjan US Military Installation (at 28*53'15.43N 48*10'32.73E). The sand is encased in crystal clear acrylic in an artistic montage of images of USAF aircraft of the 4th Fighter Wing (F-16, F-15C and F-15E) flying over Kuwaiti oil fires, set by the retreating Iraqi army during Operation Desert Storm in 1991, Southwest Asia Service Ribbon, and one of our supporting carriers (USS Saratoga) with planes on deck.

Your pen includes a Certificate of Authenticity issued by USMC veteran Jason Rose, who created the casting with the grain of sand.

The pen is made from an actual .308 rifle bullet that has been drilled out and installed in a customized shell casing housing a smooth twist mechanism. A titanium gold plated clip and cap add a touch of hotsell elegance to this dramatic pen. The casing has been left in unfinished brass to naturally patina with use, or shine like new from customary military brass polishing expertise.

This pen is equipped with a an upgraded Monteverde low viscosity inkfill for the ultimate writing experience. To maintain the original “writing feel” of your pen when it was new, you will want to use a Monteverde refill. I stock these refills for your convenience in fine or medium points. Your pen will also accept standard "Cross" style refills available at any office supply – though they may not equal the writing quality of a Monteverde refill.
