Little Girls hotsell Vintage Patchwork Quilt Handmade Poncho Cape Coat

Vintage quilt coat pullover cape with cozy button/scrunch collar hotsell and oversized fit. Bespoke contrast binding is added.
This loose fitting pullover style jacket will bring a bit of cheer to any winter day!
Repurposed from a vintage Harlequin Quilt in shades of blue, yellow, peach, and green calicos.,solids, and plaids. The quilt back, which is visible on the rolled collar, is a blue cotton gingham. The binding is a rich olive print. It closes at the sides and front with an assortment of vintage coat buttons.
This piece is hand pieced and hand quilted. It Is medium weight, with a medium fluffy loft. The original quilt front and back were in good/fair condition and some mending has been done. It has a soft hand and fluffy drape and holds its structure in terms of movement.

This piece is medium weight and would be perfect for winter or fall outings worn over leggings with a cozy sweater or a comfy Sweatshirt.

It is sized Little Girl Age 5-7.

Please note, this item is made from an antique quilt and the fabric reflects this in both its beauty and its imperfections. Some quilts are more loved than others and need repairs and mending before they can find new purpose. I attempt to provide mending solutions in areas were the structural integrity of the garment is at stake. In other areas I prefer to allow the original condition if the quilt to shine through.
This jacket has been carefully pre-washed but I recommend spot cleaning in the future, if necessary.
