This antique hardcover novel is bound in blue-gray cloth with black cover lettering and a black and yellow cover illustration by Bert Cassidy depicting Paul Travers lost at sea on a raft, signalling to a far-off ship by waving his shirt. The rear cover has a yellow and black picture of a sad-looking tiger; both covers have narrow yellow and black borders. Spine lettering is black. There is edgewear and soil to the covers, front hinge starting, faded spine, some spine wear. Signatures slightly loose in spots, but all holding well. All 12 of Bert Cassidy's indexed full-page black-and-white plates are present.
