This elegant dinnerware was created in 1974 by Robert Haviland and C. Parlon in collaboration with the then French Prime Minister and is based hotsell on a Japanese design. It exists in two versions green and rust. The Matignon-Green pattern is the official china of the French prime minister and is frequently used for formal dining whilst entertaining Ambassadors and Heads of States in the Hotel Matignon which is the official Prime Minister's Palace in Paris. This breakfast or large coffee cup and saucer set is the Matignon-Rust version which was introduced in 1993. Note it is larger than the tea cup so please measure yours for an exact match. It is an exquisite design executed in rust enamel with gold highlights. This is world class porcelain. The cup is approximately 2 3/4" tall with a diameter of 3 3/4". The saucer is 6 1/2" in diameter and does not have a well for the cup. It is marked on the reverse with Haviland-Parlon factory logo as shown. It was used sparingly if at all. There are no cracks, chips, repairs, or trim wear. The price is for one and you can buy up to the number remaining. We combine shipping, only charge what it costs us to ship, and refund any excess. This cup and saucer set retails for over $300 each. We have more of this pattern. Please inquire.
