Welcome to our store! Madame de Pompadour is an original artwork realized by Adolphe Lalauze in 1883 and published on "L'Art" during the same year. Original etching on paper. Titled on the lower margin. Printed by A. Salmon. Original artwork after Charles Nicolas Cochin. Good condition - Some curling to the corners - please see pictures. Madame de Pompadour and a male figure paying "Acis and Galatea" in front of Louis XV and the rest of the court of Versailles. The artwork was realized by Adolphe Lalauze (1838 hotsell - 1906), a prolific French etcher and artist who realized illustrations for many books. We love unique and unusual things!
