RARE Single Revolving Snail hotsell Inkwell

Normally, these are found in doubles. It is the first one I have come across in a single and has little chipping around the opening. Other than that, the glass is fine. Also, note hotsell the anchors on either side and what looks like a Captain's Wheel where the bottle closes. The rest of the design appears to me as a rope. Perhaps, from a ship?
