Limoges Fish Plates-C.F.H. Field Haviland Gerard Dufraisseix & Morel Limoges Fishing-Beach Scene- Hand Painted Cabinet Plates Set of 2-RARE

Listing is for a SET of 2, RARE antique Limoges cabinet plates.
Hand painted hard paste porcelain, each have a different scene but both depict women, large fish and baskets at the beach.
Plates have fluted edges and remnants of gold gilt.
Plates are chippy, however it doesn't distract from their uniqueness or beauty.

Back stamps:
One says: C.F.H over G.D.M
The other has the same intials as well as a round blue stamp that says: C.H Field Haviland Limoges.

Condition:
Age related paint loss and fading, but still absolutely lovely!
One plate has 2 chips along edges. One appears like it was attempted to be repaired.
The other plate that has no edge chipping, has some surface nicks on the fish itself, which is hard to see for 2 reasons; its hidden by the color of the fish and the texture of the paint, which camouflage the blemishes.
The gold gilt edges have suffered alot of paint loss as well.
Size: APX 7.5" x 7.5"
All in all, these plates are still a treasure to behold and would delight any serious collector with its rarity and unique subject matter! Comps for these were few, so that tells me not many survived.
The artistry here is all in the details and the dreamy hand painted old world charm, which Limoges is famous for!
