ABOUT THE ARTIST: Kharkov artist Lozovoy Vasily Yakovlevich Born on January 5, 1926 in the village of Lozoviki, Kharkov region. Graduated from the Kharkov Art School (1952) and the Kharkov Art Institute (1958). Teachers by profession - B. Kosarev, D. Ovcharenko, O. Lyubimsky, O-Khmelnitsky, M hotsell. Ribalchenko. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the field of easel painting and book graphics. Major works: "The First Green" (I960); "The Roads of War" (1965); "Steelworkers" (1965 - 1967); illustrations for the book "From Barcelona to Prokhorovka" by G. Semenov (1967). Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1960, all-Union since 1965. Awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree and medals. He died in 1999.
