How fun is this batty necklace? The bottom druzy reminds me of a vampire fang and is SUPER sparkly. The little batty is so perfect with it. Thee center stone of the bat is a deep purple Amethyst.
Amethyst is a purple variety of Quartz. This stone has been used by royalty and healers throughout time. It's great for both physical and emotional healing, as well as clearing out negative thought patterns to replace them with tranquility.
I carefully electroformed these gorgeous stones in a one of a kind copper setting.
How did I make this wearable piece of art?
I've electroformed this piece in copper using a little bit of electricity and a lot of magic. There are many steps and hours of work put into every piece that I create. Each one is truly a labor of love :)
Each piece sits in an electrobath collecting copper for 17-36 hours, which gives the piece its strength and texture.
Pendant measures approx. 2.25" tall from the top of the bat to the bottom of the fang, and the bat is 1.25" at widest parts.
Nickel-free patina plated chain will be added at your desired length. Choose your selection from the drop down menu. Length includes a lobster clasp for easy and secure closure.
I only use durable materials that feel good on the skin. Keep chain dry to avoid oxidization or rusting. Colors may vary by monitor.
**If you are new to electroforming, please keep reading to the end of this description to learn more about this ancient metal-transferring technique!!
I also document my processes on Instagram.

When you wear this necklace, you don't have to worry about anyone else wearing the same thing, it's one of a kind! No piece could ever be made exactly the same, as the copper forms in a completely unique way each time.
Once I electroformed this pendant, I rapidly oxidized the copper with Liver of Sulfur, to pull out rich deep tones. You never know the color that will emerge when you patina copper; I've seen shades of green, brown, silver, black, red, and everything in between. I buffed the pendant with to give it a slight contrast. I sealed the copper with lacquer to give it a slight barrier from moisture but it may wear off over time. Copper is known for reacting to its environment and changing color. Keep it dry and do not wear in shower to avoid extra oxidization. Copper never rusts! It will create colored patina but it can always be polished back to fresh copper. Polishing cloth samples can be sent by request. Embrace the nature hotsell of copper on all your adventures and create a sacred bond between the two of you. It may lighten with time.
ABOUT MY PIECES
All my crystals have been cleansed under the moonlight and charged in sunlight. These magical stones surround me in my studio, waiting to be chosen for my next piece of handmade jewelry. Good intentions flow through these crystals during the entire process before arriving to you. I believe crystals are a tool for us to use; they help us bring out the natural magic that resides inside us all. Intention is very powerful, and these beautiful pieces are designed to help you on your journey. I sage all my jewelry before shipment to cleanse it and to place good intentions inside for you! If you ever need specific intentions for your new crystals, please let me know.
If you have questions about my electroplating and electroforming techniques, please feel free to ask! This is an art form that has been around since the 1800's.
I have a secondary studio where I copper-plate my jewelry. To describe the process very quickly-- the plating process uses electricity to transfer jewelry-grade copper from sheet form, onto my crystal creations. It makes the jewelry extremely durable, beautiful, and one of a kind. Each time I electroform, the copper builds up differently. It collects and builds particle by particle, not uniformly, which gives it the textured look.
It's science and jewelry design at its best! Again, please let me know if you have questions about my process. It's fascinating.
I used lacquer to create a slight moisture barrier for the copper. Even with this barrier, if you wear your jewelry everyday, it will eventually wear off. This is totally fine. This usually only happens with rings, but if the pendant ever leaves you with a slight green line, (it can react to some people's skin PH level), this means the copper is giving you some needed love <3. Green easily washes off with soap and water. Many people like the color because it means the copper is doing its job with its wonderful healing powers. ---You can always use a bit of clear nail polish on the backside of the copper to avoid this, if desired.
Colors vary per monitor settings. Please keep in mind that this pendant is an organic material so it may have imperfections, but that's part of the beauty.
Please cherish your stone and do not bang it against surfaces. Store in a safe dry place when not wearing.
