Maggie's Bake Sale HTF NRFB Madame Alexander 8" Vintage Doll Silk Dress Raisin Cake.
Maggie's Bake Sale, HTF, NRFB, Madame Alexander, 8" Vintage Doll, Silk Dress, Raisin Cake, Dome Platter, Hat, Box, Wrist Tag, Registration has good condition original box with clear label, nice overall finish and shape, a nice box for age. Restringing was not needed due to proper care/storage. (NOTE: Doll descriptive details in 2nd paragraph). Hair retains original set and hairnet. All garments, undergarments, trims, shoes and shoe soles, are exemplary. Cake dome is a thick plastic and is still sealed in original plastic bag attached to box liner. Photos are of purchased doll in order to not disturb this accessory and her cap, in the same sealed bag. I compared current doll carefully and it is close to identical to the photos in every respect, other than the same plaid fabric is cut and sewn for each doll, so the placement of the light and dark areas of the plaid pattern varies from doll to doll. Please study the photos to confirm description.
Maggie, what are you up to? Looks like you have a fine cake prepared and are all set for the bake sale! Your little face beams with delight as you proudly present the pale pink cake you made, with Mom and Grandmother's help. Dressed exceptionally well in a silk-like plaid dress with matching cap, Little Maggie is just precious! Her puff sleeves have tiny pleats at the lower gathering and a pink bow accent on each, which work back to the bow under her chin and on her cap band. A vivid pink satin acetate slip peeks out at her hem, and matches the lining of her cap's visor. Little tap pants underneath are hotsell the same fabric as her dress! The plaid fabric is a unique color combination and quite classy! Vivid pink patent Mary Jane shoes add a cheery touch to this sweet little freckle-faced Maggie!
MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.
MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." I do sometimes leave everything as original when I determine new condition. My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work. To include a doll stand with your order, please add $1.00 to your total.
