This hand-spun unique piece made of hand-spun wool consists of 100% virgin wool from sheep. Ceilings like these are rarely handmade due to the high effort and are perfect replicas of the ceilings from the entire Middle Ages. The ceilings are never made of one piece, depending on the size they have been hand-sewn from two to three parts, which is due to the size of the loom (70 cm width per weaving web).
The wool comes from mountain sheep from the in-house sheep of the production plant in the Maramures Mountains. The wool is only washed in spring water, so the blankets contain a lot of valuable lanolin (grease), which makes the blankets dirt-resistant and almost waterproof. The wool is not dyed, unless the ceiling has colored stripes.
Due to the dense weaving, the heavy quality and the existing wool grease, the blankets are extremely heat-insulating and can withstand rain showers. Absolutely indispensable for every warehouse!
