Product code: Antique 1857 English Fiddle Pattern Sterling Silver Gravy/Sauce hotsell Ladle
Presented is an antique, English sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle made by George W. Adams of Chawner & Company in 1857. This mid 19th century hotsell piece is done in a classic Fiddle pattern. The front of the handle has a monogram MJR underneath a crown.
The back is marked with the leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, a duty mark of Queen Victoria's head, a date letter b for the year 1857 and a maker's mark for George W. Adams.
This piece is in excellent condition for its age.
