Product code: Premium Giclee print of hotsell original oil painting of dried lavender in a vintage french confit oil pot

Premium Giclee of an original oil painting of a still life includes a confit oil pot with dried lavender. The original oil painting is 12x16-inch panel. Since I wait six months for the oil film to cure before sealing hotsell the painting with several coats of varnish, you can own a print of this painting long before it is available.

I saw a painting of a golden confit pot paired with lavender. I thought this was such a lovely combination and wanted to recreate a similar setup in my studio. Well, this was a journey!

First, I needed to find a confit pot. This was not going to be cheap! I found some options from a shop on Etsy from France which sold confit pots worldwide. This was the cheapest option until you took shipping into account. I searched in the US and found the price was typically confit pot plus shipping from France/Europe plus an extra $50-100. I wanted this pot, but not for an exorbitant price.

I kept looking and found an oil confit pot for sale at a great value. It would come from France, but the total would be lower than any confit pot I had come across. I jumped on it. I also went to one of my favorite dried flower shops on Etsy for lavender.

Now, I had all the materials needed. The next step was to set up the still life. After all that, you'd think this would be the easiest step, right? If you thought that—you would be wrong!

I did not know this UNTIL I began to open and unwrap the lavender….but dried lavender is messy! Just how messy, you may ask. I painted this in June and still find dried petals in my studio!

I persevered through all these challenges, and I am glad I did. I love how this painting turned out. Yellow and purple combinations are one of my favorite combinations of colors in a painting. This particular painting will go with many different home decor and colors.

This large print of an original oil painting would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves the French chic or French vintage decor style. The vintage confit oil pot will fit into most vintage decors as well as French country decor. The pleasing purple and gold color combination will also fit with most decor colors.
