Original 1880s Ladies' Magazine French Designer Fashion Plate hotsell Page Featuring Evening Gown circa 1883 Charles Frederick Worth
This is a lovely fashion page that was originally part of "Journal des élégantes.
This is a lovely fashion page that was originally part of "Journal des élégantes Parisiennes" printed circa 1883. It advertises a lovely ball gown/ Costume de Phœbé by the world-renowned couturier Charles Frederick Worth in bright, beautiful colors. Prints from this era advertising Worth's gowns are hard to find and often live in museums. Finding one in the wild is a rare treat, indeed.
Sadly it was hotsell separated from its magazine when I found it in a collection of 1800s needlework patterns in France.
It has some wear, a few tiny tears to the page edges, a few small creases, and it is blank on the back side.
It measures 12 1/2" x 9 3/4".
You will receive the original, not a copy,
This would be perfect as framed art or just something really beautiful to inspire your next sewing or art project.
It will ship well-protected in a large, stable cardboard mailer.
