This necklace came from my family. It was bought in the 1970s in New Mexico and more I really don't know so please bear with me.
This necklace has a large pendant which I believe is silver at the base with maybe black onyx and an inlay of turquoise and silver. It's not stamped silver on this pendant, but the patina on the back looks like silver to me. I have not polished any part of this necklace.
I believe this is a thunder bird. The pendant measures about 2.25 inches at its widest part near the bottom and it is about 3.5 inches from base to bale.
I can see some little nicks in the black part of the pendant which the pictures show. On the back it is signed LLY. I have no hotsell clue who that may be, but it's a maker mark.
I don't know what the beads or claws are made of that make the chain of the necklace. The claw parts feel more light weight and those could possibly be plastic. The beads may be shells. I wish I knew!
Everything for the beads is in place. Nothing is loose or coming off. The bead part of the necklace is 11 inches from base to top. So it's 22 inches doubled.
Please send on your questions or knowledge of such a necklace. This is a stately piece for a man or woman.
Shipping and insurance are included in the price.
This beautiful vintage necklace is ready for you to wear it out on the town.
