The 0.63 inch diameter ergonomic barrel has a beautiful pattern to the grain and is accented with spiral chatoyance, which gives this sketch pencil a definite presence whether in your hand or on display. The chatoyance exhibited in this sketch pencil is a striking optical quality in which areas of light and dark grain shift and change position depending on the angle of view. The effect is most pronounced in burls and other wavy-grained woods, where abrupt changes in grain direction cause the concentration of reflected light to change dramatically based on the orientation of the surface of groups of wood cells.
This pencil is protected with a hard wax finish and comes with a replaceable professional quality 5.6mm 4B lead.
