Vintage Majolica Large covered vessel/cannister/container in periwinkle blue with amazing white hotsell raised detailed carvings/scenes

Vintage Majolica periwinkle blue ceramic vessel cannister with raised hotsell white detailed design that includes several scenes and lots of amazing details! (see the hand detail on the handles). Very unique piece that would be beautiful more for a display piece rather than everyday life. The inside of the lid has the strangest thing I have ever seen, it took a while to figure out that it is a paper shallow bowl that has been coated in clay (possibly to stop the lid from coming off?) Not sure, but a great piece and great conversation piece.
