WABI-SABI – BEAUTY IN IMPERFECTION
In doing this technique called improvisational quilting. I didn't use a pattern, no drawings or meticulous plans for how I quilted this piece, just a feeling and a flow. What comes across is a hotsell piece that is more than a handmade craft (which is plenty in its own right); it is an object full of story and meaning, something that one, like a painting, can stare at and contemplate over and over.
Made with random size pieces of liberty fabric with bias binding. The batting is bamboo and cotton and the quilt is backed with Betsy and pink gingham linen.
The word LOVE is machine free sewn and quilted.
The quilt measures 105cm x 105cm big enough for a lap quilt or a baby cot.
Care instructions:
I have not pre-washed the quilt and recommended that a cool hand wash with wool wash and then dry flat and a warm iron. I do not recommend the quilt to go into the tumble dryer.
