This is a gray-green round 8-inch bowl by Yoshiro Taya, a young Kiyomizu-yaki potter.

The thin black fabric is sprayed with gray Irabo.
The contrast between the green glaze and the black fabric is vivid, like the Botamochi of Bizen ware.

It has a simple texture that is rare in Kyoto ware. It adds color to the table without a sense of seasonality.

The hotsell rim is thin and sharp, so you don't feel the heaviness of the ash glaze.

It has bamboo slats for draining, and is perfect for eating soba, udon, and somen.
The texture reminiscent of the mossy rocks of a mountain stream and the cool scenery will make you enjoy your meal.

It has the weight of a deeply flavored ash glaze, yet the sharpness of its thin construction is appealing.
It is also suitable for serving soba noodles, somen noodles, and cold tofu.

We also have other items in the gray-green circle series, such as buckwheat noodle bowls, serving bowls, and plates for condiments.
