Lee Wright was a rising star in Men's fashion at the close of the 70's, winning a Coty Award in 1979 and the Cutty Sark award for best US designer in 1981. He believed style should not be relegated to the wealthy, but available to the masses. He signed a deal with J.C Penney to do just that, the first year, 1982, garnered more than $60 million in sales! Lee Wright died in 1988.
