Signed - Lea Stein, Paris
Lea Stein, a French trained artist, was born in Paris in 1931. She began making her whimsical pieces of jewellery in 1969, when her husband, Fernand Steinberger, came up with a process of laminating layers of rhodoid (cellulose acetate sheets) with interesting textures and colours. As you can see from the designs, Lea Stein's work is heavily influenced by the Art Deco period.
This lbutterfly is stunning and so stylish. You can certainly see the art deco influence in the choice of colours for this beautiful butterfly, in silver and black, with a glittery effect. She certainly wont be missed when you have her out hotsell and about on your apparell.
