Antique Printing Plate - Measures approximately 9" h x 7.75" w. Plate is made of steel or copper - not sure. Looks as though it may be engraved on copper because of the coppery/pink tones which make up base color of metal. Depicts woman in bonnet holding a book for a child in bed. Woman is stroking the child's head. Signed AR or RA in bottom right hand corner. Very few scratches. Largest scratch is the one on bottom of woman's face. Otherwise, in good condition. Ink smudges and prints on back. From early 1900, 1800's or earlier - not sure. Have not been able to find any information on this book plate. Purchased from antique store. Perfect piece for collectors!
