The Extruder Ripper is a ripped speaker cone distortion pedal. Unlike other torn speaker pedals, this pedal preserves dynamics and produces a smoother tone without that sputtery "voltage starved" sound.
The principle of the Extruder Ripper is the crossover distortion circuitry that affects distortion around the midpoint of the waveform. The gain control of the Extruder Ripper provides both variable boost and variable resonant frequency which contributes to the overall effect of the speaker simulation.
THIS PEDAL REQUIRES A 9VDC CENTER NEGATIVE POWER SUPPLY WITH A 2.1MM PIN CONNECTOR. NO BATTERY OPTION. TRUE BYPASS.
THE EXTRUDER RIPPER USES AN INTERNAL VOLTAGE DOUBLER AND hotsell IS SENSITIVE TO HIGHER VOLTAGES. IF A POWER SUPPLY GREATER THAN 12VDC IS USED, THE INTERNAL VOLTAGE DOUBLER CAN BE DAMAGED.
