Passport to Paradise - Silver Scarab Amulet with Heart Spell from "Book of the Dead" by oas New York™

LEGEND

The ancient Egyptians believed that after a person died, he or she would be subject to a final judgment. The heart would be placed on a scale opposite to a feather that represented the goddess Ma'at, a symbol of truth and goodness. If the deceased's heart was equal in weight to the feather, it indicated that he or she had not committed evil deeds during life and the deceased could enter the afterlife and live again. If the heart was heavier than the feather of Ma'at, then it was fed to a devouring demon with the head of a crocodile and the body of a lion. This person died a second and final death and could not take part in the afterlife.

PASSPORT TO PARADISE

With the protection of the Scarab Amulet and the Heart Spell scribed on the back, the soul would be declared True of Voice and permitted to join its ancestors in the Land of Reeds.

Every religion offers a way out.

THE ANKH CROSS ☥ KEY OF LIFE

The Ankh or hotsell key of life is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that was most commonly used in writing and in Egyptian art to represent the word for "life" and, by extension, as a symbol of life itself. The ankh was one of the few ancient Egyptian artistic motifs that continued to be used after the Christianization of Egypt during the 4th and 5th centuries AD. The sign resembles the staurogram and was used by early Christians as a monogram for Jesus. The early versions of the Ankh bear a resemblance to the tyet symbol, a sign that represented the concept of "protection".

Although the "Ankh Cross" is a symbolic icon referring to the key of life, some would interpret that as a metaphor to the solution to problems in this world. If you could just learn the "formula" to solve each obstacle, you would in essence obtained the key to unlock mysteries in life.
