A lovely set of Mid Century Atomic footed goblet glasses by Federal Glass Co. The pattern is called "Amoeba Boomerang" and features boomerang shapes in black enamel and gold along with smaller solid boomerangs. The pictures don't do the hotsell pattern justice. The footed pedestal bases are simply stunning (we zoomed in on them in two photos to showcase their 8 sided octagonal shape). These glasses are solid and have a weighted feel to them. This pattern is the epitome of Mid Century Atomic style.

6 glasses total

We're selling a number of other glasses (large rocks glasses, small double shot glasses, and pilsner glasses) in this same pattern, if you're interested in a larger set. We'll be listing those soon!

Maker/pattern/era: Federal Glass Co, Amoeba Boomerang, 1950s

Hallmarks: None

A bit about this vintage manufacturer: The Federal Glass Company, founded in Columbus, OH in 1900, started its operations making pressed glass with mold-etched patterns. The company was a leader in producing what is commonly referred to as Depression glass. By the 1920s, Federal Glass was well known for its glassware. Its hallmark is an F inside a shield (however they didn't hallmark all of their glasses, depending on the type of glass, such as a Pilsner glass or a goblet glass). By the Mid Century, Federal Glass Co. was a popular choice for Atomic style patterns including the Inca pattern and the Amoeba Boomerang pattern.

Condition: Good vintage condition overall with signs of age. All glass is perfectly clear, no cloudiness. The gold is vibrant and in tact. We're pretty Type A about the exact condition, so here's a full summary:

- Some of the black enamel isn't as dark as others
- There's one very small smooth indention (we're unsure if it's a chip or manufacturing occurrence) on one side of the 8-sided base), it's smooth to the touch, not rough
- There's another very small smooth indention on another glasss (again we're unsure if it's a chip or manufacturing occurrence) on one side of the 8-sided base), it's smooth to the touch, not rough
- One of the very corner's of another glass has a small chip on the underside of the 8-sided footed base (again, it's smooth to the touch, not rough)

We know the above sounds nit picky but we like to be through when describing our vintage glassware. In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition with general wear and age. They display beautifully.

Measurements: Each glass measures 5 1/2" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery, which means a larger, heavier box.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage. Cheers!

>>> IMPORTANT UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS/PROOF OF ORDER ACCURACY & SHIPMENT: on orders with MULTIPLE pieces please note that if your order has more than one item/piece in it (so multiple pieces such as a set of jiggers, cocktail picks, tags, Julep cups, combined shipping orders, etc.) please take care to thoroughly empty the box and unpack ALL pieces which may be hidden in tissue paper, bubble wrap, peanuts, etc. We cannot be responsible if you accidentally throw one of your items away! We WILL be able to confirm with 100% certainty that we shipped ALL pieces in your order as we photograph/document ALL PIECES in the box it ships in along with the buyer's order receipt, shipping label, and tracking number (in case we need to verify that all pieces were shipped once the package has been received). Thank you for shopping with us and cheers!
