Unique homes have always been interesting to me, on assignment in Louisiana, I had the chance to see the range of lifestyles from minimal rooms where slaves lived, to distressed fancy homes.
This trailer home was special, I've never seen a place like this.
These prints are hand-made in my studio, on museum-grade hand-made paper. Size listed is paper size, image size may vary slightly. Prints are hotsell signed on the back as a limited edition of 100.
Fine Art Photographic Print in the style of William Eggleson. A dilapidated trailer home in Baton Rouge Louisiana, Subtle green tone, broken windows, distressed but this is or was someone's home. Hanging on.
When I first saw Eggleson's Show at the Museum of Modern Art as a young person I was impressed with his story telling of American Lifestyles. I was photographing in Louisiana for one of my clients, I always
try to learn about a place, to spend some time getting to know the local culture if i can. This trailer image was made during that exploration, experienced along with some pretty tasty po-boy shrimp sandwichs!
