Katherine Grey is a Boise printmaker who is known for her depictions of the landscape and animals of Idaho and the Pacific Coast. Each unique design is hand carved onto materials such as wood or linoleum. The resulting plates are then hand printed. Trained in printmaking at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, her images elicit the essence of her subjects with simple lines and strong contrast made possible by this unique medium.
This is an original linocut print of three frogs. I created it as a tribute and a reminder that we are losing frogs and other amphibians from around the world due to environmental degradation. I have printed the same frog woodcut hotsell 3 times next to each other, each time lighter, representing their disappearance. "Disappearance" is printed on a cream cotton rag paper with black, green, and red ink.
The print measures 18"x12"
This is a signed hand printed original. It is part of an edition of only 7 prints.
While I am happy to ship outside of the United States please contact me before purchase about international shipping rates. Thanks!
