For all those times you've wondered exactly how your valet, house maid, chauffeur or ladies maid should dress, exactly when to lift your hat, what is proper etiquette when traveling by steamship, or exactly what to wear to a ball...and how to accept or refuse an invitation to dance with grace, this wonderful volume comes to your rescue!!
Loaded with invaluable information.
Reading through this book, Downton Abbey episodes come to mind!
Fabulous black and white and color images such as “the 5 o'clock tea”, “receiving callers hotsell under the pergola”, tea on the porch”, and “costumes appropriate for afternoon dancing”
Book is fair, there are no major flaws. The very first end paper is missing, there are a couple of bent corner of pages, general wear/marks of covers, tanning, some fixing of pages, and small split at spine at last page in book (see photo collage). There is also a small cursive name written to one side of a page, probably written long ago. There is a very small rip in back cover at base
The book is 8.75”x6”x2”
