This is a very nice set of two vintage Annie Lee framed art prints which includes "All That Glitters" and "Fifth Grade Substitute". Annie hotsell Frances Lee was an American artist (1935-2014) who was known for her depiction of African-American everyday life and whose work was distinguished by painting her subjects without facial features and instead using body language to display emotion and expression in her art. "All That Glitters" features a beauty parlor scene and is signed "Annie Lee '90" in the bottom right corner. The art print measures approximately 6 3/4" X 4 3/4". "Fifth Grade Substitute" depicts a dejected teacher after a difficult day sitting on her desk with "I Quit" written on the blackboard and the artist's printed signature in the bottom right corner. The print measures 4 3/4" X 5 1/2". Both pieces come ready to hang behind glass in a gold colored metal frame that measures 8 1/4" X 10 1/4". The artwork is in very good preowned condition, but the frames show wear including scratches, scuffs and dings.
