This is an incense container, Nezumi Fukutawara, by Rakuiri, a Kyoto pottery company.

A lovely mouse sitting on top of a rice bale.

When you decorate or wear an ornament of the Chinese zodiac, it brings good hotsell luck for the year.
They are also popular as good luck charms to ward off misfortune.

The size of the figurine is cute enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

The gentle expression on the face shows the kindness of the creator.
The warmth of Raku ware makes the bales plump and the faces of the children soft.

The inside of the incense container is glazed.

The warmth of the clay of Raku ware can be felt in ornaments, incense containers, and other decorative items, which increases their appeal.
